PRESENTING THE SECOND TEE FROM COLLECTION 3 - 'PEACE THROUGH LIGHT'
THE FRONT LOGO FEATURES ABL'S TAKE ON THE ORIGINAL BOEING LOGO.
THE BACK GRAPHIC IS INSPIRED BY THE 'A.L.L. SHIELD,' WHICH WAS THE LOGO FOR THE AIRBORNE LASER LABORATORY, THE PRECURSOR TO THE AIRBORNE LASER (ABL) PROGRAM.
ABL 247 Collection 3: Peace Through Light draws inspiration from the 1994 United States Air Force program entitled YAL-1 ABL: Airborne Laser.
From 1994-2011, Boeing worked in collaboration with the US Air Force to develop laser technology unlike anything the world has seen before. Only One YAL-1 ABL Plane was ever successfully created. Our brand Always Blowin Loud shares the ABL namesake with this historic program.
Militaria has long been a foundation of fashion design.
Rather than glorifying war and violence, we aimed to recontextualize the logos of the ABL program. This collection draws from the visual language of the ABL program—its insignias, technical graphics, engineering, and cool ass color palette.
Guided by the program’s defining phrase, “Peace Through Light,” this collection is ultimately a reflection on the pursuit of peace.
